How can you attract new employers to hire on your campus?
How can you deepen your existing employer partnerships to expand their hiring?
What do employers really want from you?

Every employer has many options when deciding where and how to hire. In a process that is often far more subjective than it seems, there is a lot that you can do to get employers’ attention and ensure that they give your students their close consideration.

There are many highly talented students and graduates on every campus, but some schools are much easier to do business with than others. Some have employer relations and/or job development specialists that really understand how to support the needs of their employer partners. As in any service business, it’s the experience of working with you that counts most.

This half-day workshop is designed to give you a better understanding of how schools can support their employer clients; respond to their needs in a manner that works best for your office and your students; and, enable you to deliver a far better customer service experience.

In this highly interactive workshop, you will:

  • Gain insights into the “behind the scenes” thinking and processes that employers use when planning their hiring on campus;
  • Participate in discussions about employer behaviours and what you can do to engage them more effectively;
  • Hear direct advice and suggestions from employers;
  • Develop ways to help employers mitigate risk and build a better case for hiring your students; and
  • Discover ways to make stronger employer connections that will lead to repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals
