Born and raised in Bermuda, James completed his education in Canada, with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Political Economy) from McGill University and a Masters of Management & Professional Accounting from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. James is a CPA, CA and has worked internationally in a variety of roles.
James started his professional career in the Assurance practice for PwC Bermuda and then Toronto. He joined PwC’s Human Capital team as a Manager, spending time in both campus and experienced hire talent acquisition before leading the global mobility function for PwC Canada. James followed his passion for the entertainment and media industry, working as the Senior Manager of Financial Operations at CBC News for two years before moving to Australia to rejoin PwC. In Australia he had a variety of roles within sales and marketing, where he led the firm’s proposals team as well as the client and market experience team.
James re-joined PwC Toronto in 2017 as the Resourcing & Recruitment Leader for PwC Canada. In this role he works with executive leadership on workforce planning strategies while leading five national Human Capital teams (campus and experienced hire talent acquisition, third party labor, global mobility and resource management). His passions for talent acquisition center around employer brand, candidate experience, technology and diversity and inclusion.
