Lea Trotman recently joined Corus Entertainment’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team, as Manager, DEI. Lea designs, creates, and implements strategies and programs that ensure sustainable diversity, equity and inclusion amongst the people, culture, communities, and within each business. Specializing in DEI and anti-racism, Lea, through many roles, has developed various successful projects, including sponsorship programs, equity-centered design modules, diversity analysis, and DEI educational trainings. Lea, previously at Deloitte Canada, took on the role to implement and build out the firms Black Action Council and was writer and contributor on the published piece Black in Canada: Acknowledging our past, owning our present, and changing our future. Lea is a driven, curious and light-hearted individual with a passion for people and change, developing engaging and inclusive experiences that can inspire and create environments for people to be their authentic self and reach their full potential, and for organizations to foster this. She also has an interest and background in sales driven analysis, where she utilizes data with research and intention. Lea holds a Bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University in Global Development and Indigenous Studies, bringing a critical equity and inclusion lens to topics of economics, politics, and culture. Overall, Lea strives to continuously engage with social, informative and sustainable change, in hopes to create a better future for all.
