Further Details

Brainstorm Strategy Group Inc., in partnership with universities and colleges across Canada, surveyed students during the months of February through June, 2019.

More than 24,000 students completed an in-depth, bilingual survey that covered a broad range of topics related to their post-secondary experience, experiential learning, job search preparation and process, career goals and aspirations, employer and industry interests, career development and more.

One component of the survey engaged students in selecting, ranking, and providing evaluations of major employers in Canada. Each student provided feedback on up to five employers each, resulting in a total of more than 100,000 employer evaluations.

The rankings comprise the most authoritative view of the brand strength of these organizations as prospective employers of students and new graduates.

The survey also includes key demographic data including gender, geographic region, diversity groups, major areas of study, year of study, and more. This facilitates reporting rankings of employers in many different categories.

The publicly available rankings (to be announced at the Future Workforce conference) include the following categories: overall, business, arts & science, computer science, health & medicine, and engineering.

Additional rankings and competitor analyses are available to clients on customized basis.
